Chapter 1:
• God wants us to have a high and proper view of Him and to bow before Him in complete allegiance. Daniel 1:8
• What matters is that God must give you a new heart and thus the capacity, as well as the desire, to bow before Him. John 14:6
• Through Daniel’s story we see that Daniel was much more concerned about promoting God’s glory than he was in protecting himself. Daniel 2:20-23
• Daniel turned to God for help. Daniel 2:21
• Daniel gave thanks and credit to God whom he called the God the God of my fathers. Daniel 2:45
• Their faith in God was unshakable in spite of the extreme danger. Daniel 3:17
• Even in the midst of fear you defend the Lord and make His name known. Daniel 4:17
• The things of this world will eventually end, but God’s kingdom would endure forever. Daniel 2:44

Chapter 2:
• Instead of being enamored with your own ability to impress God, you love God and are faithfully devoted to Him. James 1:27
• “Man Most High” is an unbiblical view of mankind that is man-centered and man-esteeming instead of God-centered and God-esteeming. Romans 1:23
• “Man Most High” has been influenced by the world’s wisdom and logic; God’s ways are higher than ours. 1 Corinthians 3:19-20
• The world’s craftiness and reasoning’s are not only useless, but also potentially deadly. Proverbs 14:12
• Because God is holy and we sin, we could never work hard enough or be good enough to go to heaven. Romans 6:23
• It is the Word of God, which is living, and active from which we should formulate our beliefs, not from a deceitful heart. Hebrews 4:12
• Man is responsible to God to repent and believe and therefore is in desperate need of Christ. Acts 7:30-31
• Unless God draws him, convicts him of his sin, and grants him repentance, he will not believe God, however religious he becomes. Ephesians 2:8-9
• Man loves himself whether he is thinking how wonderful he is or he is putting himself down in the grip of self-pity. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

Chapter 3:
• Only God can accurately search our hearts. Jeremiah 17:9-10
• There are God-honoring ways to deal with reality even if it is or was traumatic. Philippians 4:8
• You cannot delve any deeper inside a person than the thoughts and intents of their heart by way of the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12
• And we know that God will never lead believers into situations that we cannot handle without sinning. 1 Corinthians 10:13
• Christian psychologists belief about general revelation, however, is not accurate since general revelation has only one overall purpose – to reveal God to us. Romans 1:18-21
• We do not fit God into where we can; we are not to steal God of His glory. 2 Peter 1:3
• Our attitude should be one of mourning over sin, not I’m special. I’m valuable. God saved me and gave me worth. Matthew 5:3-4
• We are not to use God for how He can make us feel, we are to repent and love other whether we feel like it or not. Matthew 22:39
• I am in Christ for the purpose of proclaiming His excellencies. 1 Peter 2:9
• The only way we can be freed of our sinful self is to know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

Chapter 4:
• God of Heaven is the King and Ruler over His creation. Psalm 115:3
• God makes choices and we have no right to criticize Him. Isaiah 45:5-9
• God also chooses those for salvation whom He pleases and His choice is based on no merit of our own. Romans 9:18
• God delights in working in His creation through exercising His loving-kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth. Jeremiah 9:23-24
• God uses circumstances in our life to work for our good. Romans 8:28
• As children of God, we are to be holy as He is holy. 1 Peter 1:14-16
• God is faithful to keep His Word. Numbers 23:19
• God is faithful in calling His people. 1 Corinthians 1:9
• God is faithful to not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13
• God is faithful and we should entrust our souls to Him even amid suffering. 1 Peter 4:19

Chapter 5:
• Aim your life exclusively at God’s glory. Romans 14:7-8
• Worship the God of glory. 2 Chronicles 5:11-14
• Sincerely confess your sins. 1 John 1:9
• Believe in Him for salvation and throughout your life. 1 John 5:10-11
• Give God glory by bearing fruit for Him. Matthew 5:16
• Cultivate grateful contentment wherever God has placed you. Philippians 4:11
• Grow spiritually. 2 Peter 3:17-18
• Stand up for God’s truth. Jude 3
• Cultivate zeal for His name. John 2:14-17
• Witness to the lost. Matthew 28:19-20

Chapter 6:
• Scripture is one of the primary meant that God uses to renew our minds. Romans 15:4
• We have to consider the whole counsel of God, which is His Word, and rightly interpret it in the context which it was written. 2 Timothy 3:16
• You must also study what is written in the Scriptures so that you can be personally pure. Psalm 119:9
• This truth is why it is so critically important to place yourself in the church that takes study of the Scriptures seriously. 2 Peter 3:18
• We are to be mature in our understanding of Bible doctrine so that we are not to be deceived. Ephesians 4:14
• We must be increasing in Bible knowledge if we are never to stumble. 2 Peter 1:5-10
• Understanding and living Bible doctrine is the command of God. Matthew 4:4
• Bible doctrine leads to gratitude to the Lord. Colossians 3:16
• Bible doctrine is more valuable than daily food. Job 23:12
• Bible doctrine is the only way to true freedom. John 8:31-32

Chapter 7:
• The will of God is affirmed in our lives as good and acceptable and perfect to the degree that we have been transformed by the renewing of our mind. Romans 12:2
• God guides you; you must go to the Scriptures to find answers. Psalm 19:7-8
• We can know for sure how God guides us is His will for us as it is revealed in Scripture. Exodus 20:3, 13-15
• Spirit filled life means you must be saturated with the things of Christ and His Word. Colossians 3:16
• Christians must remember that they have been bought with a price. 1 Corinthians 6:20
• It is God’s will that you be submissive. 1 Peter 2:13-15
• How God is providentially working in and guiding His creation is a mystery that we cannot fully comprehend. Proverbs 16:9
• Let your conscience be your guide. 2 Timothy 1:3
• The Scriptures teach us to enjoy the freedom we have in Christ, but to not use this freedom as an excuse for sin or license to sin. Romans 6:15-18
• If we are renewed in our thinking and attitudes then it follows that we must not be foolish. Ephesians 5:17

Chapter 8:
• We either glorify God or we do not. Hebrews 10:25
• The only way to know if our worships is genuine and pleasing to God instead of merely outward religious show is to search the Scriptures and see if it is true to the Word of God. Revelation 4:2-11
• We are to worship the one true God only. Matthew 4:8-10
• True worshippers worship the Father in Spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24
• Some religious people are worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ in vain. Matthew 15:7-9
• We are to worship God and sing His praises for His awesome works. Psalm 66:1-5
• Look what God has done and given us to enjoy. Psalm 66:7,9-10
• We are to worship the Lord with reverence. Psalm 2:11
• We have an obligation to worship God through living totally devoted to Him. Romans 12:1
• A whole heart’s desire to serve and please God and to be used by Him for His purposes however He chooses. Romans 12:1

Chapter 9:
• In order to have right thoughts, you must first be placed in a position by God to give Him glory. Ephesians 2:8-9
• To have right thinking you must have right presuppositions about God. Psalm 83:18
• To have right thinking you must have a proper regard for God’s Word. 1 Thessalonians 2:13
• The Scriptures, however, are perfectly God-inspired. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
• As our thinking changes, we will develop a biblical perspective on life and the world. Colossians 3:16-17
• To have right thinking your mind must be renewed. Romans 12:2
• Transforming your thinking is also a command to all believers. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6
• Develop a renewed mind is by preparing ahead of time what we are going to think during a difficult situation. 1 Peter 1:13
• To have right thinking you must put off wrong thoughts and put on godly thoughts. Ephesians 4:22-24
• Wrong sinful thoughts do not descend upon us out of the blue. They begin with our sinful heart. Matthew 12:34-35

Chapter 10:
• We are not to think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. Romans 12:3
• God gave us our gifts and abilities. 1 Corinthians 15:10
• We are to give preference to others. Romans 12:10
• The humble person is capable of learning God’s ways. Psalm 25:9
• We are to put on a heart of humility. Colossians 3:12
• The more humble we are, the more we please God and will be rewarded by Him. 1 Peter 5:5-7
• God dwells with the humble. Isaiah 57:15
• God gives grace to the humble. James 4:6
• You are aware of your need for God’s grace and ask Him for humility. Hebrews 4:14-16
• You think first of others’ feelings and needs, not “What about me?” Philippians 2:3-4

Chapter 11:
• An obedient person puts God’s desires ahead of their own desires. Matthew 26:39
• We are to behave in a godly manner. 1 Peter 1:14-16
• We are to obey God even if we must suffer for it. Acts 5:27-29
• To those who love the Lord, His commands are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3
• A person with an obedient heart lives their life based on the Word of God and not their feelings. Proverbs 3:5-6
• We can learn to be content no matter how tough things are because God will help us. Philippians 4:11-13
• Be content with what you have today. Focus on seeking God and pleasing Him. Matthew 6:35,33
• True contentment means we do not have to sin against God. Job 6:10
• God will reward those with a servant’s heart. Matthew 20:25-28
• The mark of a trust servant is his faithfulness. Matthew 24:45-46

Chapter 12:
• It is God’s will that we be pure. 1 Thessalonians 4:3,7
• We are to be in control of our bodies. 1 Thessalonians 4:4,5
• Your sexual desires are to be met by your spouse. 1 Corinthians 7:2
• Lustful sexual thoughts are sinful. Matthew 15:18-20
• God forgives any sexual sin at the moment of salvation. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
• Homosexuality is a form of perverted sexual lust. Romans 1:24-28
• Adultery violates the fact that marriage pictures Christ and the church. Ephesians 5:25-27
• Put off sexual sin by putting on the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 13:13-14
• Make no provision for the flesh. Romans 13:14
• Memorize Scripture and tell yourself that Scripture instead of the lustful scenarios in your mind. Psalm 119:11

Chapter 13:
• We are to love God wholly and our neighbors as ourselves. Matthew 22:35-40
• Love is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22
• Obedience proves love. 1 John 5:3
• Our ability to love biblically comes from God and is an evidence of salvation. 1 John 4:7,8,19
• Jesus’ death on the cross is the supreme example of how love acts. 1 John 4:9-10
• Love is a mark of being a Christian and therefore we can have confidence in the Day of Judgment. 1 John 4:17-18
• Our love for God is seen in our love for others. 1 John 4:20-21
• We are to love and pray for those who are against us. Matthew 5:43-48
• We are to pursue love. 1 Corinthians 14:1
• If you love God, you put Him first. 1 Timothy 4:7

I am leading a study using the "Attitudes of a Transformed Heart" and the women in my study were completely opposed to the third chapter. I loved the chapter. I love the fact that God's Word really does give us all we need to be able to glorify Him. Thank you for your 130 things learned. Do you mind if I share it?
