Beautiful Freedom

"As soon as I saw you I knew an adventure was going to happen." I pray for the person who God would choose to be a part of my life and the adventure that we'll have. I get pumped ;) I hope to be able to write my Once Upon A Time...to ya'll!

Today is one of those days where I truly am resting on the promises of God and not my own feelings. It has been a journey of a year (well life), but this year especially has flown by and busy as ever. However through it all I cannot tell you how close I feel to the Lord. I have begun to realize that this life isn't about what you "do" per say. I mean it is in the sense, but i'm talking what I personally accomplish via my lists, jobs, etc. It is about how I LIVE. Doing things I have found are different than living things. It is easy to get caught up in the mundane things of life and the day to day chores and checklists (we like our lists). I have realized I exist for more, for a greater purpose. Each day shouldn't be about just wanting to get through today...big ugh or sigh...but, rather how we lived that day. 2 Thessalonians chapter 3. Paul has encouraged the believers to believe the truth (2:13-14); and guard the truth (2:15); practice the truth (2:16-17); and now Paul asks them to share the truth (3:1-5). We are not to simply love the truth or learn the truth but live the truth. Alexander Maclaren wrote; “The gospel is not speculation but fact. It is truth, because it is the record of a person who is Truth.” Paul brings his letter to a close. Paul has some closing words; a request for prayer and a reminder of God’s faithfulness and love.
